Art students from Michigan Lutheran High School were excited to be a part of downtown St. Joseph's art display this year. Junior, Melanie Rock, came up with the idea of doing the surfing knight. Students all contributed their ideas as to what we should paint on the figure. We worked in acrylic paints adding the Hawaiian beach details to the knight and horse. Each students designed a surf board along the bottom of the horse blanket. The project took about three weeks of class to complete with 3-4 students working on the painting each day.
