ST. JOSEPH, MICH. (Nov. 16, 2016) — There will be something fishy about St. Joseph, Mich., next summer. It’ll be the city’s 14th annual outdoor art exhibit, “Fishing for Fun in St. Joseph,” featuring 20 fish and shark sculptures painted by regional artists. This popular downtown event opens May 19 and runs through Sept. 21.

“We’ve planned a 'reel' good time all summer long,” said Susan Solon, St. Joseph communications and marketing manager. “You’ll get hooked on this art right from our unveiling on May 19 from 5:30 to 8 p.m.” Solon said starting opening day the city will offer fish finders to help visitors locate each sculpture. They can be picked up at the St. Joseph Welcome Center, 301 State St., or online at

Several area sponsors, including the St. Joseph Improvement Association, make the event possible.
